It is a unique attraction of its kind in Trentino: an aerial trail in the woods, suspended from the trees, 1100 metres long offering an exciting and panoramic experience in the heart of the Dolomites. The descent takes place comfortably seated in a harness attached to a trolley with controlled speed. The route is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, with a weight limit of between 15 and 120 kg, making it an ideal activity for families and groups of friends. It combines adventure and nature, offering an innovative way to discover the beauty of the Dolomites.
It is an easy 45-minute walk around the Ciampedie plateau, suitable for everyone, to discover a picturesque corner of the Val di Fassa. The route winds through the woods with enchanting panoramic views. Along the route, you can stop at equipped areas or small nature areas where you will find hand-painted signs with descriptions of the habitat and habits of this cute little animal. The name, in the Ladin language, reflects its connection with the area.
The route follows trail no. 540 Ciampedie – Gardeccia on the outward leg, one of the most popular and well-loved trails in summer. It is a high-altitude route that can also be covered with a stroller. Along the way, there are numerous information points about high-mountain nature (vegetation, water, rocks, tree roots, underground life, air, the age of trees, etc.). On the return, you can make a detour towards Malga Couler to join the Legends Trail, along which information panels present summaries of the main legends set in the Catinaccio mountains and linked to Ladin tradition.
It is an emblematic itinerary, a real journey through some of the most iconic landscapes of the Dolomites and Val di Fassa. From Ciampedie, you reach the Gardeccia basin, an area historically recognised as a reference point for excursions in the Catinaccio. From here, climb towards the Vajolet and Preuss mountain huts (trail 546) and then continue towards the Rifugio Re Alberto at the foot of the Torri del Vajolet with their unique profile that has inspired poets, photographers and mountaineers. Alternatively, continue towards the Passo Principe (mountain hut of the same name, trail 584). This is a moderately difficult route, with numerous places to stop and facilities that facilitate access to the many trails.
The ‘Vial de le Feide’ (sheep path in Ladin language) was historically used by shepherds to accompany their flocks in search of fresh grass. Today, it is a route that offers a perfect combination of history, culture and adventure, ideal for exploring the wonders of the Dolomites in an immersive way. It is a route of medium difficulty, with open views. From Ciampedie, the route crosses the green meadows of Pra Martin, leading to the Roda di Vael mountain hut and Baita Marino Pederiva. The return journey is possible via Malga Vael along the Alta Via dei Fassani, which leads back to Ciampedie.
The Antermoia circuit in the Catinaccio Group is a magnificent circular route offering spectacular views typical of the Dolomites. Starting from Pera or Vigo, you reach Gardeccia and then climb up to Vajolet, Passo Principe and Passo Antermoia. From here, you descend to Lake Antermoia, a small alpine jewel which, thanks to its reflective surface, beautifully frames the surrounding peaks. There are various routes for the return journey: Val Duron, Val Udai and Val di Dona. Plan your return to Pera or Vigo carefully. This itinerary can be split into two days with an evocative overnight stay in a mountain refuge.
