Unleash your inner explorer

Unspoilt trails and breathtaking views

Taking the cable car from Alba di Canazei, in less than ten minutes, you will reach the 2100 meters of the Ciampac basin, from where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Dolomites, from the Sella Group with the majestic Piz Boè to the south face of the Marmolada.
Up there you will be spoilt for choice as there is a wide range of panoramic excursions suitable for everyone, thematic routes for both adults and children, original wooden games, works of art and many weekly activities.
The four mountain huts in the area and the panoramic point of Sella Brunech (2428 metres) complete the offer with a 360-degree view of the most beautiful mountains of Val di Fassa.

Our must to do activities

Unmissable activities in Ciampac

For the little ones, there is the “Driver at Ciampac” path, a route dedicated to the big vehicles of the mountains. From 6 years of age upwards, the wonderful “On the tracks of Ciampy” trail awaits you along the panoramic ridges, where you can make friends with the Ciampac chamois. And good things come in threes! To discover lots of curiosities about Margot and the other marmots, all you have to do is venture along “The marmot trail” on the slopes of Mount Colac.

Just 5 minutes from the cable car station, a playground with lots of original games such as bowling, “hand” mini golf, Connect Four in a giant version and much more. You can also look for precious stones in the Ciampac stream and test yourself with giant memory games and puzzles dedicated to the chamois Ciampy. But that’s not all! To entertain young and old alike, there is also the dragon race: a wooden ball track in the shape of a dragon with channels, gears and various mechanisms to be discovered.

Easy walks for families in the alpine meadows of Ciampac in search of marmots, guided excursions of medium difficulty in little-known and unexplored areas of infinite beauty, manual workshops for children to discover how butter is made, as well as high-altitude yoga lessons and touching sound baths with a breathtaking view of the Sella Group. At Ciampac, there is something for all tastes!

Once you reach the Ciampac basin, or going further up to the 2428 metres of Sella Brunech, a great variety of excursions awaits you, also suitable for the little ones: from the easy panoramic walk along the ridge leading to Buffaure or Crepa Neigra, to the beautiful circular hike up to Col Bel and the trail descending through the unspoilt Val de Grepa. For more experienced hikers, there is the equipped Lino Pederiva trail, which allows you to reach the peaceful San Nicolò Pass and enjoy an incomparable view of the south face of the Marmolada, as well as the trail to Forcia Neigra and the renowned Ferrata dei Finanzieri. Whichever excursion you choose, one thing is certain: you will be surrounded by beauty!

For those looking for a unique experience different from the usual, at Ciampac you can enjoy the “Out of the Box” sensory trail, designed to experience the mountains to the fullest and appreciate the beauty of slow time and the peace of nature.
An original and innovative trail where, thanks to the use of special cards guiding you along the six stages, you will enjoy a truly engaging experience, focusing on your five senses.

An original tour that allows you to combine cycling, lifts and high-altitude trekking without giving up the view. Starting from Pozza di Fassa, you follow a circular route, taking the lifts up to Buffaure, where the trail along the panoramic ridges leading to Sella Brunech, the highest point of Ciampac, begins. You then descend by cable car to Alba di Canazei and return to Pozza di Fassa by bike, following the beautiful cycle path along the Avisio river.
