Have you ever wondered how ski slopes are groomed, how a snow cat or a snow machine works? Are you curious to see the backstage of snowmaking and to discover the secrets of this wonderful world?

All this will be revealed by the staff of the Ciampac ski area during the activity “Behind the scenes: the secrets of snowmaking”. Every Thursday real professionals in the sector, who work day and night on the slopes, will explain you what should be done in order to ensure perfect snow conditions every day and will share with you some interesting notions of snow science. You will discover what happens behind the scenes of skiing, what it means to work in the snowmaking sector, how much effort is needed and how many emotions this job can give. To complete the experience, you will enjoy a tasty aperitif at sunset on the terrace of the Crepa Neigra mountain hut – with a breathtaking view of the Sella Group and Piz Boè. To go back to Alba you can take the cable car or ski along the black slope Ciampac.

When: every Thursday afternoon

Meeting point: 2.30 p.m. at the mountain station of the Ciampac cable car

Duration of the activity: approx. 2 hours

Languages: Italian and English

Price: € 20 adults, € 10 under 12, free under 3. The price of the round trip by cable car is extra.
