Val di Fassa Lift - Rules of conduct
- A skier or snowboarder must behave in such a way that he does not endanger or prejudice others.
- All skiers and snowboarders must adapt their speed and behaviour to their personal abilities and to the prevailing conditions of terrain, snow and weather as well as to density of traffic.
- Those coming from behind must choose their route in such a way that they do not endanger skiers or snowboarders ahead.
- A skier or snowboarder may overtake another skier or snowboarder above or below, and to the right or to the left provided that he leaves enough space for the overtaken skier or snowboarder to make any voluntary or involuntary movement.
- After stopping or where pistes cross, all skiers and snowboarders must make sure that they can advance on the slope without risk to themselves or others, either behind them or ahead.
- All skiers and snowboarders must avoid stopping on the piste in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. After a fall in such a place, a skier or snowboarder must move clear of the piste as soon as possible.
- Those forced to climb or descend a slope on foot must keep to the side of the piste and make sure that neither they nor their equipment represents a danger to others.
- Pay attention to the weather forecasts and information about the pistes and snow. Respect all signs and markings.
- All persons who witness or are involved in an accident must assist by raising the alarm. They must be prepared to assist the first-aid volunteers if this is required or requested.
- When requested by the slope control officers, all skiers are obliged to provide their particulars and produce an ID document if they are involved in an accident or witness one.
- Skiers and snowboarders should avoid turning at the edge of the piste. Leave enough space to facilitate overtaking at all times.
- Pay attention to the routes taken by other skiers in relation to the type of skis used, snowboard, telemark, fun carver, etc.
